Being Happy - Part 4
We get up on a Sunday morning to realise that it was pouring heavily outside, you can choose to complain that the rain has destroyed your plans for the day or feel thankful that the grass in the field get watered for free.
You can complain about having to go to school every weekdays, or eagerly open your mind and fill it with new knowledge.
You can feel sad that you don't have more money to buy whatever you want or be glad that it encourages you to use your money wisely and not wasting it on things that you don't really need.
Thus, we can see that we can make ourselves happy or unhappy simply by choosing the correct state of mind. What matters most in life is your attitude. Our mind can think positively or negatively. Only you - and no one else - can put yourself in a positive mood. If we learn the art of positive thinking which in turn leads to positive actions, we will no longer be dependent on others for our happiness. Our life is what our thoughts make it. If we think happy thoughts, we will be happy. If we think miserable thoughts, we will be miserable. If we think fearful thoughts, we will be fearful. When we think positive thoughts, many things will happen on their own. Our stresses will disappear. It is definitely not wealth but wisdom that makes men rich. After all, the richest man is the one who wants the least.
